Journey Through The Past

Chapter One The Beginning

~~*June 3, 198 A.D.*~~

~flop!~ "Man, I'm SOOOO bored!" I thought to myself. I couldn't believe it. I had been told to stay in my room until noted otherwise. By my mother of course. It was so hot that my sweat made my bangs stick to the sides of my head. That's when my door opened. I looked over at my door, which was standing open about an inch. I heard a voice say, "Damn, it's hot in here! How can you stand it?" My crimson eyes widened. "Daddy? But I thought you were in a meeting," I said. "I was, but it ended early," my dad said. "What are you hanging around in here for?" "Because that witch mother of mine decided to stick me in here," I said. "Hm, well I'll go give her a piece of my mind then," My dad said.

He turned around and left, leaving the door wide open. I went out to find a way to cool myself down, and finally settled on a bath. Needless to say, it worked. As I was walking down a hallway, I slipped on something. My father caught me. I looked up at him. "Thanks," I said. "No problem," My father said. I noticed a rather large grin on his face. That was unusual, even for him. (Daddy, don't hurt me! I was kidding!) I'm serious though. Usually, there's a frown on his face. "What're you so happy about dad?" I asked. "I got the sandal," My dad said, still with the grin on his face. I grinned. "Ooh, the sandal! What'd you do this time?" I laughed. "Said her hair looked bad?" "Well, everything about her is bad!" He laughed. "No, I just said that raising you was supposed to be my responsibility and that if you needed to be punished-which I doubt-that I'd deal with it." "Then why'd you marry her if everything about her is bad?" I asked. "Ooh, you're nosey aren't you?" My dad laughed. "I married your mother because I had no choice. But if I hadn't, then you wouldn't be my daughter, and I like having you as a daughter." I smiled. "Well then that works both ways," I said. My dad looked at me. "I like having you as my dad," I said. We smiled and hugged. (Sweet, huh?)
