1924- Salem

A woman kissed the top of her three son's heads just as four men in hooded cloaks came into the room. "It's for the greater good." Her husband said as he snatched the tiny boys from their mother. The four men took the boys and left the house, going straight to the woods that were located behind the house.

The triplet boys cried as would any new born child would. The men ignored them. After walking for a few miles they soon came to an altar, a group of thirty hooded men stood around the altar. Three of the four men placed the babies onto the alter. "We shall stop Goddess Hecate's evil plans here tonight."

The leader called out. He paused and looked out at his followers. He had a feeling these were not the children. But it was a small feeling the greater part of him knew he was right and he was never wrong. "Tonight these evil beings will perish, and the world will no longer be in danger. Our families will no longer live in fear, we can sleep peacefully now. We will no longer live in fear. Tonight, I will set us all free!" they all cheered while the leader smiled confidently at them.

He raised a ruby encrusted dagger in the air, and the cult silenced. "Feast your eyes upon this moment. Pass it down to your children, and your children's children. For now the terror ends!" the leader cried, but before he could make another move his heart gave out from the excitement. The man next to him, fearing it was the goddess Hecate, coming back from the dead, grabbed the dagger and stabbed it through one of the baby boy's heart.

The other two kept crying, he quickly moved on to the other two and killed both of them. The crowd cheered as he held up both hands, the dagger in his left, the blade pointed straight up. The rain clouds, that had been building up all day finally opened and rain poured down. Thunder resonated all throughout the forest, yet the cult still screamed in joy.

Lightning flashed followed with more thunder and colder rain. A lone member stood at the edge of the group, hidden by shadows. He shook his head, his blood red eyes glowed from underneath his hood. The humans were foolish. They had just killed three innocent boys, boys he could have used once they were of age. He sneered before turning and vanishing into the night. The rain fell harder and faster, thunder grew louder, a feeling of electricity was all throughout the air.

The cult however ignored it and continued chanting and screaming in joy. They could now live in a world with nothing but humans, just how they wanted it. Suddenly lightning struck the dagger, killing the boy who had killed the children. The cult silenced and looked at each other. One of the men who had taken the boys stood before saying, "it was simply a sign from the gods saying, it ends here. That they need these two brave men in heaven. Now let us go and spread the news. For on this night, peace will rain from here on out!" with that everyone ran in different directions. Yet still the feeling of doubt still lingered in the air.
