Disclaimer: I don't own Glee. I do, however, own a ticket to see Darren Criss on Broadway. I think I'll be okay without Glee;)

A/N: Hello! I'm pretty happy that I actually wrote this. I dreamt it a month or two ago, and it would not leave me alone. I figured I would regret not writing it if I didn't. I sincerely hope you enjoy.

Forever Gone

"Be careful in the air. We have a few forest fires raging that could cause the plane to explode if you get too close," the radio crackled through. Kurt rolled his eyes, glad he would soon land the plane and be home.

A message popped up on his view screen: Call from Blaine Anderson.

Kurt smiled and opened the video chat invitation.

Blaine's face popped up, looking worried. "Hey, how are you?"

"Great, as always. It's beautiful up here," Kurt said, smiling affectionately at his soulmate.

"Are you sure you're safe?" Blaine asked, face scrunching in worry.

Kurt gave a tinkling laugh and rolled his eyes. "Relax, Blaine. I'll be fine. Promise."

"All right. Love you."

"I love you too, Blaine."

Blaine sighed as he ended his conversation with Kurt. He thought about how happy he was that Kurt was able to have such incredible adventures as a pilot. He thought about how happy he was that he was able to share them with him. How happy he was that he and Kurt were bonded for life. That nothing could ever break them apart.

Blaine stared out the window. He could see a large fire in the midst of the forest, a plane flying low above it. He thought back to the last video call he had had with Kurt. He thought of Kurt's last words to him: "I love you too, Blaine." He watched as slowly, very slowly, the plane began descending. He watched as the shards of the plane blew apart and fell for miles around. He heard Kurt's laugh as he watched the fire overtake the bits of the plane that were left. Blaine blinked. He watched as the love of his life fell to a million pieces. Forever gone.
