Promise Of The Fading Flower
She ran. She ran as fast as her tiny legs would allow her to. What was she running for? Was she trying to catch something or was she just trying to escape the damage she had left behind?
Her mind was confused. She hated herself in this moment. Because she had hurt two of her precious, irreplacable friends.
She had always placed other people's feelings above her own but today, without meaning to, she had rejected the feelings of the two boys who liked her.
Water fell from her eyes, blurring her vision. Even so, she kept running. Because she had to find the boy she finally realised had captured her heart.
"Ah!" she yelled, as she tripped over a rock that lay on the forest path she travelled on. She lost her balance and she found herself losing control of her body, as she rapidly rolled down towards the riverbed.
Something roughly banged against her head, as she fell into the river. The chilly water soaked her favourite dress, revealing the paleness of her skin. Her head felt weird. She suddenly had a massive headache and she could feel something wet sticking to her long hair.
For some reason, she couldn't get up. She could feel her energy slowly, fading, painfully away from her.
Through her teary vision, she recognizsed a familiar face. Poppo? she tried to say but her voice had abandoned her. Her friend looked at her oddly and she finally realised that she was departing from this world.
I can't leave yet. I made a promise. I have to get up. I have to fufill that promise. Please, God, let me have this one last wish. I can't leave this world without completing my promise.
My promise to make Jintan cry.
