A/N. Sorry if I'm getting repetitive, I think they're like a hundred versions of the same thing. I just felt I had to write these little oneshots... I didn't edit them, I just thought I should let them come. I kinda put myself into sasuke's character and wrote straight out of his head, so sorry it isn't fluid- but then again, who's thoughts are?

I think there's someting very personal about 'I remember', a recollection that's heartfelt, with no need for a thesaurus.

Sakura... that girl was an enigma.

Sasuke turned his head to face her as she slept soundly, clutching crumpled duvet in front of her like it was a stuffed animal.

She was such a child... and yet such a woman. How many years had it been now that they had been together? The day they were assembled into team 7, he wanted nothing more than to get away from her.

'Sasuke-kun...'

How he despised that label, the infantile honorific disgracing his name... But how he had come to crave it, 'Say it Sakura... I want to hear it again'
Upon a later visit to the onsen, he suddenly realised he could no longer look at her in a towel without blushing.

He remembered the day he berated her about her misjudgement of Naruto, branding him a failiure- and then he remembered the day she had broken down and begged him not to leave her.

Those tears, those tears were not those of a young girl's crush. Those were the same tears she shed when Haku nearly killed him an the same tears that stained her cheeks when he finally proposed to her. He was proud of her and dumfounded at the same time. She grew up and proved to him that she understood.

That girl was an enigma.

There he was in a fit of rage, the cursed seal in control of him- but she ran to him. Clutched him tight to herself and prayed for the madness to end. He could have killed her right then and there, but still she held on like Sasuke's warmth was all she knew and all she sought. A summary of their relationship.

He was a monster and she did not care.

It had been 2 years since there was any kind of disturbance in Konohagakure. The the team had drifted apart for a while- Naruto found motivation under the guidance of Jiraiya, but Sakura's heart kept leading her back to the place she felt most whole- Sasuke's apartment.

After he was freed from the grasp of Orochimaru and Itachi was out of the picture, Sasuke began to wonder what is purpose in life was. The pInk-haired kunoichi beside hiM stirred, and he suddenly remembered everything...

Alone, chest heaving, Orochimaru's umbra cast over him. It was raining and Sasuke had no idea how lonG he had been sitting under the outcrop of rock in the middle of the forest. From out of the trees, an angel came in crimson.

Sakura.

Sparks of electricity emitted from Sasuke's huddled body, striking the Kunoichi. Her wrists burned, but her tears were not for heself. again, they were for Sasuke.

He flinched voilently as arms encirled him. He was afraid because he didn't know where they had come from. He was even more afraid, because he didn't know wh they made him feel safe for the first time.

Sasuke scooted over to her, greeted by the warmth radiating from her body and her breath against his chest. Clutching her closer again, he finally succumbed to sleep- and he remembered just how much he needed her.
