Never before had he felt such a rhythmic, pulsing, flowing connection as that he did when her lips were locked with his that one sunny afternoon. Everything felt new, it was almost as if her long hair was falling on his chest for the first time. It had actually done that close to thirty-seven times, Aang had counted. He also could tell you the number of times she had said his name (3,457), how many times she'd kissed him on the cheek (11), how many times he's kissed her lips (4), and how many times he's dreamed of her (65 nights). He could also tell you that he loved her with all his heart, but that'll be the under statement of the year. It would also be really cliché, so instead he just continues to kiss her.
When there lips unlocked, Katara buried her head in his chest. She had only been in love with him for less than two months, or at least is when she realized it. She still remembers that night, when they were all sitting around the campfire when she noticed that Aang's eyes were particularly beautiful and her thoughts drifted into a fantasy daydream about her and Aang snuggling on the beach. She had shook her thoughts away quickly of course, because Aang was the Avatar and had more important duties than to have a girlfriend. Back then, she was so innocent and naive, she thought she didn't want him, and when she finally realized she did, she thought she didn't deserve him. Now that she finally had him, she couldn't imagine it any other way.
