Ness couldn't believe it. He just stood there in shock. "You, you said yes? You want to marry me? Oh god Paula. I love so much. His angel looked up and smiled at him. "Of corse I said yes. I love you Ness. I will be with you forever. Until the end of time and beyond" Ness smiled, this had to be the best day of his life. Ness . . . Ness . . .



"NESS! Are you there? Hello? Wake up now or I will . . . Well I don't know what I will but it won't be pretty." The male voice broke Ness out of his memories, memories of better times, memories of when, "NESS!"



Sighing as if he was an old and broken man, Ness got up off the couch and opened the door."About time. And you aren't even ready. Come on man. You are going to be late"

" Late for what Jeff?" Ness asked.

"FOR WHAT? Hmmmmm. Does a wedding ring a bell? Poo is getting married in a few days and we have to go to winters" Jeff looked ticked off that his best friend had forgotten about another one of his best friend's wedding

"Why are we going to winters?" Ness questioned.

Now Jeff looked worried. "Ness are you okay? I mean you would think that would remember having a daughter and all. That's why we are going to pick her up from the school. You know, I still don't believe that sending Luna to a boarding school was a good idea"

Ness rolled his eyes and replied "Jeff, she likes it there."

"She does? That's strange I remember that last time we went to visit was crying that if she had to spend another year in the fortress of doom that she would run a way"

"Kids do that. It's called getting attention."

"Oh I see. That's why the next week she ran off and was living with the Nessie watchers for nearly a week"

"Jeff, stop it I don't need this right now. Lets go."

Jeff looked at Ness and shook his head. "No, not until you have a shower and put on some clean clothes"

"What are you, my mother?" Ness answered, getting a little mad. If he didn't want to shower that was his own business.

"After the wedding you can go back into your corner and be all guilty and smelly if you want, but for now act like what people want you to act like" Jeff replied,

"Oh, and what's that like?" Ness questioned.

"Like you are a hero not, like a person still all broken up about their wife's death"

"I miss her so much Jeff."

"Ness, it's been 14 years. You have to let go sometime. We are all getting worried about you."

"I'M FINE"Ness shouted.

Jeff sighed and replied" fine, whatever. Just pack so we can go all right?"

Ness nodded and left the room to pack.

Jeff sighed once more and couldn't help but feel worried, worried that his friend would never recover from Paula's death.
