AN* this is a little one shot i wrote for fun, didn't have enough time to do anymore hw, but enough to write this so if you want more fanfic's from me support procrasination and REVIEW!

this was inspired by all the Pansy's that snatch your book away at all the good parts. ANd all the nice people, or occasionally nice people, who get it back.

disclaimer-if i did, i wouldn't be doing this that's for sure. I'd have retired by now and be crusing in Greece.

Astoria sat cross legged nestled in the corner of the couch between the arm and back rest, nose deep in a book amongst the bustling crowds of the Slytherin common room.

"Astoria! Just what the hell do you think you're doing in OUR common room? Last I checked the Ravenclaw tower was almost as high up in the air as there noses." Pansy cackled snatching Astoria's novel from her unsuspecting grasp.

"Daphne gave me the password in case of an emergency." Astoria mumbled "Can I have my book back please?" She asked sheepishly.

"Hmm, I dunno…." Pansy purred, tapping her check with her index finger. "I might decide to read it…the fire's looking a little under fed." Pansy smirked sautéing to the roaring flames, which were clearly in no danger what so ever of burning out.

"Pansy please, please, pretty please don't!" Astoria begged, unraveling her legs in order to stand up right. "I was getting to the good part. I really don't want to wait another two weeks between chapters for another to come in" Astoria pleaded, hands folded together.

"Well," Pansy gasped "If you want it so badly I'm sure you can get it yourself." Pansy held the book high over her head. "You might want to grab it soon, before I change my mind." Pansy stated dryly examining the state of the nails on her left hand.

Astoria stretched her arms up over her head, she stood on her tip toes, she jumped and flailed her arms about, but it was all no use, she was just too short.

"Ahuh," Pansy yawned, "My arms starting to get tired."

"Pansy, please just give it back!" Astoria begged on the verge of tears for this would be the sixth copy she'd gone through "I can't reach."

"Well, then I guess-"Pansy began

"What are we reading?" Draco asked nonchalantly, easily slipping the volume from the hand above Pansy's head and began thumbing through the pages.

"The Green Mile, by Stephen King. It's a muggle novel about a man who is falsely convicted of murder and sentenced to the electric chair; it's something the muggles used to prosecute prisoners, which is like when the Dementors give the kiss I Azkaban." Astoria finished with a deep blush creeping up her neck as Pansy gave her a look which clearly stated, nobody asked you.

"What's the twist?" Draco asked with a raised eyebrow, dangling the book by the right side of the back cover, scrutinizing the open pages.

"I'm just about there." Astoria replied, her roaring blush slowly edging away.

"Let me know when you find out." Draco grinned, well it was more like a twitch at the corners of his mouth, as he handed the novel back to its rightful owner.

"Thank you!" Astoria stammered, but her gratitude could barely be heard over Pansy'

"Dracoooooo! You ruined all the funnn!" She whined, stomping her foot in a huff. "Now I'm going to have to do something completely ridiculous, like my homework!" She pouted at the lack of attention she was receiving and continued to storm out the common room sure to slam an unsuspecting first year into a nearby book case.

AN *please, let me know what you think. should i write more Astoria Pansy fic's, or should i stay far, far very far, away from the two coinciding for the rest of forever? REVIEW, please, please, pretty please. for Astoria?
