The Time of Month
by Jasmin Kaiba
Rory woke up that morning after a night of the worst sleep she had in quite a few months. Everything had started out alright, she and Logan had watched movies, including Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, eaten enough to last a four-person family two days and made love till they almost passed out from exhaustion. She has fallen asleep in his warm, protective embrace only two wake up a few hours later with horrible cramps. She chalked it up having eaten too much and curling into Logan went to sleep again. That didn't prove to be a brilliant idea, her back ached, her cramps got worse and a pounding headache topped the rest of a night that had begun perfectly.
Logan was still in La-La-Land when she got up and went to the bathroom. With still closed eyes, she pushed the boxers she had snagged from Logan down and seated herself on the toilet, hunched over from her still very present cramps. Opening her eyes she was met with a nice sight. The normally light blue boxers were drenched in blood and her legs didn't look any better. Looking at the small calendar beside her box of tampons, she confirmed that it indeed was time for her monthly.
Cursing her luck to nine hells, Rory quickly discarded the ruined boxers and t-shirt and stepped into the shower. Feeling slightly better with the blood off her, she situated a tampon, wrapped herself in a towel and went to wake Logan; they'll have to change sheets.
Logan had groggily gotten up, seen the blood on the sheets and wordlessly swiped them off and into a laundry basket. He didn't comment on anything, just disappeared into the bathroom. When he came out he saw Rory curled on the couch in a pair of gray sweatpants and one of his Yale t-shirts with her laptop on her knees, browsing the web. He caressed her hair as he made his way to the kitchen and started coffee and breakfast. Rory was unbelievably cranky when her bleeding came and he'd learned the hard way not to ask questions, just to make her feel better. And of course, what else is going to make a Gilmore Girl feel better then a large cup of steaming coffee and food.
He made he chocolate pancakes, lots and lots of chocolate pancakes, two extra large cups of coffee, found a Tylenol and placed everything on the coffee-table in front of her. She gave him a grateful smile and a peck on the lips before taking a sip of the coffee and tackling her breakfast like only a Gilmore could.
When she was finished he took the dishes away, brought her another coffee and curled her up in his arms, softly caressing her stomach. She relaxed and kissed him, whispering 'I love you', before falling asleep against his chest.
He smiled down at her, kissing the top of her head and turning on the TV, there goes the sex-marathon he'd planned for the weekend. But there're going to be many more weekends for them to indulge in the ecstasy of their love-making, right now it was important that she was comfortable and in a good mood, or he'll be spending the next few nights on the couch.
AN: This is actually what my husband does for me when I'm on my monthly and well since it's that time of the month, I thought to myself why not make it a Sophie? I hope you enjoyed it. Tell me what you think.
