Yullen Weeks 2013

Disclaimer: Nope, I don't own either of them, and I'm rather happy with it since I would ruin everything if I did D:

Love.

It was a very scary thing. To them, at least.

Every time something, or rather, someone, became dear to them, they got taken away almost immediately. So sudden that they sometimes wondered if it was just a fleeting dream they were having or not.

It was like a joke Fate had specially prepared for them. And a cruel one at that.

Bad joke or not, it was still their reality, so they should simply brush it off and walk on.

Easier said than done.

So, in order to avoid bad things, they decided to close off their hearts. Layers upon layers of masks for one, and a cold attitude for the other. They both put up an impenetrable fortress around themselves, making sure that people could never, ever break through.

But nothing is impossible, it seemed.

They began to realize that, slowly but surely, someone had broken through the barriers, claiming that empty spot inside.

At first they tried to ignore it, tried to make it go away. Not because they hated it, per se, but rather fear that something might happen to the other. Something they were powerless against.

Kanda had to admit, however, that the brat was a hell lot stronger than he looked. He kept it to himself though, because it would be very embarrassing if someone were to find out, especially that annoying rabbit. Or even worse, the moyashi himself.

He wasn't sure how Allen would react, but he knew it would be hell if Lavi caught a word of two.

What he didn't know was that 'the brat' was pretty much on the same boat. The other exorcist secretly admired him, the way he held himself, the confident smirk in battles, the seemingly unshakable resolve, and almost everything else about the dark haired samurai. Well, everything except for the attitude that started their constant fights.

So they decided to have just a little bit of faith in each other, enough to leave their back to the other's watch. Enough for them to stay together, even if it was only for a short time. Enough to love the other without holding back.

Because this time, they were going to make sure Fate wouldn't get away with separating them and their loved one anymore. If it can ever manage to do it, that is.

Welp, I haven't been here for a year now because of school and stuff (not that anyone knows me anyway -r-), but I'm glad to have made it back in time for Yullen Weeks :D

It's a pity I only got the first one done though, and it seems my writing has gotten worse than it already was D:

Please send some feedback and help me improve my writing, and HAPPY YULLEN WEEKS EVERYBODY :3
