The five men walked off the plane, the rescue group carried the casket of the sixth man behind the five. One man disappeared to go see his wife right away. The one man was named Jasper, a pale 6'8 tall blonde with brown eyes. He knocked on the door when he arrived at the house.
It wasn't his wife who answered, "yes?" the woman asked.
"Is Mary Alice here?" he asked in a quiet voice.
"No, she moved away a couple weeks ago" she said drying her hands on a dish cloth, "She had such a cute boy too" she shut the door as he stumbled back.
All he heard was she no longer lived there. He went back to the debriefing. He blew up at his superiors when they told the men that they had already informed their spouses and family of their deaths because they were MIA so long.
The superiors pulled Jasper aside, "You told her I was Dead!" Jasper yelled.
"Jasper calm down will you. We waited as long as we could. But when your unit didn't check in..." they trailed off, it had already been five years.
"Give me wife's address!" he demanded.
the superiors hesitated but wrote it down and handed it to him.
Jasper rushed out. He caught a cab to his wife. She was living in a upstairs apartment.
He knocked on the door.
A little boy answered the door, at first he thought he had the wrong apartment. "MOOOOOOMMMMM!" the little boy turned and screamed behind him.
Alice came out of the kitchen, she was holding a dish cloth. "Jay no need to yell." she said looking at her son. who was almost a carbon copy of Jasper. She looked up at Jasper in the doorway. "Jasper" she whispered before she fainted. Jasper raced to catch her before she could hit the ground.
