Leah's thoughts at night. Why she is scared to sleep. Might expand it more on another one-shot later on.
--
There were 200 sheep staring at her.
She had started out by counting sheep to fall asleep, it was stupid, childish, but she could think of nothing to make her fall into her comatose state.
Maybe, it was because she was scared.
Scared of sleeping?
Yes.
Because when you sleep, you dream, whether you remember it or not.
And when you dream, you see things.
And sometimes they're dreams, and sometimes they're nightmares.
And Leah had both, but her dreams still felt like nightmares.
Why?
Because she was scared of loving.
So, she started to count sheep, than she saw herself in wolf form, chasing the sheep. Yes, Leah Clearwater always managed to screwed everything up, including the old 'counting sheep' thing.
Everything she did she did wrong. Everything.
Because she, herself, was wrong. Completely utterly wrong.
She was a shell, remnant of a broken heart.
She was a freak show, the only female werewolf.
She was a bitch, she had no problem admitting it, because to hide from her own pain, she inflicted it upon others.
Yes, she had a broken heart, the problem? She had fallen in love. Again. And she was scared to hurt. Again.
So, she either had nightmares about herself as a werewolf or she dreamed him.
Jacob Black.
The man who plagued her dreams for a couple of months now.
And she hated him. And he hated her.
And yet, the line between love and hate is so small. So thin. Hell, maybe it doesn't even exist.
