Wrote this a little while back when the show was replaced by Eurovision but forgot to post it. Obviously it's not so current now and it's rather silly and far from being my best work but hey, it kept me amused. I hope I got them all ok, I'm especially not used to writing for Tuck and Kate but I didn't give them a lot to say anyway. I know it ends kinda abruptly too but to be completly honest I didn't really know where I was gonna go with it, plus I wanted to get it posted while it was still relevant. Finally, thanks to my friend Helen for betaing, and also I should note that the 'answer for everything' 'I couldn't possibly say.' bit is a little nod to Jeeves and Wooster: 'Do you know everything?' '...I really don't know sir'
Disclaimer: No, still no.
"What do you mean, we have nothing to do this week?" Asked Much.
Standing at the entrance to the camp, Robin shrugged. "There's something on instead of us, apparently."
Allan scoffed. "What're they gonna put on that's better than us?"
"It is an annual competition known as Eurovision, wherein countries in the European union select a representative to perform a song live on television. They then vote for other countries to determine the most popular song." Said Tuck.
"You really have got an answer for everything, haven't you?"
"I couldn't possibly say."
"Why is it us that has to be replaced?" Complained Kate.
"That's right, we've been entertaining people for years now." Said John. "Well, some of us have."
Tuck glanced at him, but let it go. "Apparently it is one of the longest-running television programmes in the world."
"Still!" Exclaimed Much. "I des- we, deserve better treatment than this!"
"Can't we stop it somehow?" Asked Allan.
"How?" Replied Robin, to which the trickster shrugged.
"This can't be right." Said Much, shaking his head in disbelief. "Replacing us with some musical contest? Outrageous!"
"I thought you liked singing, Much?" Teased Robin.
"Well. I do. But… really!"
"Hey, look on the bright side," said Allan. "We get delayed by a week, it feels like the series lasts longer."
"But what about the fans?" Asked Kate.
"I don't think you need to worry about that."
Kate glared at Allan's cheeky grin as Robin sat down next to Much. "Well, I never thought I'd say this but… I miss the sheriff."
They all turned to look at him in disbelief.
"What?!"
"Robin-"
"I'm not being funny, but we've just spent two and a half series fighting the Sheriff, and now you miss him? Ain't been having any more 'pillow talk' have you?"
Robin laughed, shaking his head. "Don't you see? This must be the work of Prince John."
"Prince John?" Frowned Much. "What would he have to gain from this, surely has just as little to do this week as us?"
"Prince John is seeking people to love him, right?" They nodded. "He must know that the public love watching this Eurovision thing, so he's agreed to give up our slot to that instead."
"What's that got to do with the Sheriff?" Kate asked.
"The Sherriff would never do that; he enjoys his own screen-time almost as much as Robin does." Replied Much without thinking. Robin turned to look at him with his eyebrows raised in surprise and amusement as Much's eyes widened in horror. "No, Robin, I- I didn't-"
The rest of the outlaws laughed at the pair of them.
"'Ere, what've we been worrying about?" Grinned Allan. "As long as we've got Much there's plenty of entertainment!"
Much sighed as the others laughed at his expense. "Oh. Yes. Right."
