Jaken watched as Kagome got closer and closer. The little demon began to fidget as she sank down onto her knees in front of him. Then suddenly, her lips were on his, gently kissing him.
Kagome pulled away after a few seconds and scrutinized Jaken carefully. He was just standing there with his mouth open and eyes wide. With a sigh, Kagome stood up again, saying, "Well, it didn't work this time."
A cool voice from behind her asked, "What didn't work?"
Whirling around, Kagome saw Sesshomaru standing there, a slightly perturbed expression on his face. Her face breaking into a grin, Kagome did a little dance of joy and said, "Actually, it did work! You kiss enough frogs, and you'll find your prince!"
Sesshomaru just stared at her.
And Jaken whined petulantly, "But I'm a toad…"
