Jade was not the type of girl that ever cried. But that day… sitting on those steps she cried. Nobody noticed at first. Then Cat looked over.
"Hey… is Jade… crying," she asked
Beck looked over too. He didn't think she would be but yeah. There was his girlfriend and she was hysterical. She wasn't saying a word but she was crying so hard she could hardly breathe.
"Excuse me," he said.
He quickly walked over to Jade. He sat down next to her and wrapped his arms around her. In seconds his shirt was wet.
"Jade," he said, "Babe what's… why are you crying"
She tried to answer but was incoherent. Beck knew that when she got like this there was only one way to calm her down. In a rich soft tone he started to sing to her. It was the first song that they danced to.
Elevator buttons and morning air

That did bring a smile to Jade's face. The words had meaning. It was a simple meaning and yet at the time it was so sweet.
"Jade," Beck said, "Can you tell me what's wrong"
"I don't want to lose you," she said, "Not to Vega. Not to anyone else"
Beck's eyes widened

"You kissed Vega on her 2nd day of Hollywood Arts. You held out until I was nice to Vega. You got mad at me for embarassing Vega… rather extremely I might add. Oh and THIS LATEST thing," Jade replied.
"Jade," he said, "I never meant to make you feel like that. But Tori is my friend and you being mean to her makes the situation uncomfortable for me."
"And being a loser is uncomfortable for me," Jade said

"I… I guess I feel like someone needs to protect her. I mean you're so strong. You can handle anything. Tori is a little bit more fragil then you. I think though in protecting her I went a little overboard. The only one for me is you. I never wanted you to feel like I didn't love you. I never wanted you to feel like you're losing me"
