'What is he thinking?' she wondered silently to herself. The air was at boiling tempatures and she was sweating. He stood there, staring, but she wasn't sure if he was looking right at her. She half wondered if it was more like through her. Suddenly, she felt unconscience and considered leaving when his voice spoke. It gave her chills, the perfect octaves. For a guy his age, he had a very deep, nice voice.

"What do you want to talk about?" She didn't think he had put any effort into the question, it seemed as if they didn't need a conversation, just eachother. She shrugged and in a shaky voice replied, "anything" and that was when she felt like kicking herself.

She didn't know if he had heard the desperation residing in her voice, possibly the tension had cut off his thinking abilities, although from the way the humor danced in his eyes, she was doubting it. She rolled her eyes heavenward. No, she didn't think they were pretty, but everyone else did. Glancing back at him, he was gently biting his lip and his beautiful grey eyes held something so raw, shy, it scared her.

"Why do you hate me?" She asked suddenly. It probably wasn't the best topic of conversation but there wasn't much to work with anyway.

"I don't." He replied simply. It had hurt but he continued.

"Why do you think I hate you?" the question caught her off guard, for she was not ready for an answer. In fact the scenario in her head was not matching up with the reality.

"Because you just walked off..." She trailed off. Wincing at the feeble attempt. Wow, impressive, maybe she would be promoted to reside with the first years.

"When?" He asked possibly annoyed, maybe curious, or maybe it didn't really matter to him.

"Just a few minutes ago in the hall." He shrugged at her accusation and she felt like kicking herself once again. Hugging her body and feeling worse than how she felt in Potions everyday, she continued.

"If you want me to leave, I can..." She trailed off, it seemed as if full sentences couldn't form around him. He shrugged once again and bit his lip.

"I never said that." And he hadn't, but she felt like he wanted her gone. When she had arrived at the pitch, he had been flying around, zooming here and there on his broom. She had just wanted to sit there and watch him but he seemed nervous and she felt like she was taking away his time.

"I'll see you later I guess." She told him walking away. His eyes followed her descent and she felt like crying and smiling at the same time. Maybe later when she was in her dorm, in her bed, she would. As she walked away from the stands, she noticed he was stil staring at her. She didn't dare glance at him, she continued on, hoping that tomorrow would be better. All the way to the school she felt his intense stare and shuddered wondering why she had to be the one on the recieving end...
