Devoid

A companion piece to 'Hope', which was about Phil- this one is Dan. (It will make more sense if you read Hope first!)

He's everywhere he was before,
Smeared over the walls and floor,
His smell, his eyes, his touch, his face,
They taunt me in this haunted place.

His fingers curl around the door,
And calls me softly, wanting more,
And though my stomach churns with dread,
I can't help follow where he lead.

His lips on mine are hot and red,
They burn me with a flame unfed,
Devouring all I have left,
A willingness devoid of theft.

And then my neck, and on the skin,
His teeth press deep where it's most thin.
In marking me, he hums with joy-
To have his own, exclusive toy.

But when the morning light so thin,
Crawls shamefully into the din,
Exposing, burning to my core,
A bare-necked and pathetic whore.

The sheets are torn, but by my hand,
The blood is mind, I understand,
A figment of my dreams and dread
Consumes me every night in bed.

This is for the lovely people who reviewed Hope with such kind words- Sailor Ellie, Uchiha Bara, CrazyxChaotic, Mongoose Peasant and JustAboveYourAverageSlytherin :D
