Violet by Eve-the-Charlotte
I've been meaning to write a Runaways tale for a while now, and inspiration has struck me! Without further ado, here's the story
Karolina liked violets, more so than any other flower, though she never knew why. After all, each of her family had a personal flower, so why did the one she loved not match with the flower she loved. It made no sense, though she supposed, she didn't make a lot of sense either, now did she?
Of men and women and flowers, though, she knew who each of them was. Chase was the sunflower, bright (sometimes) and cheerful (usually). Nico was surprisingly an iris, not a rose, as one may guess. No, she wasn't that thorny, nor that pretty actually, though Karolina would never tell her that. Nico was an iris, though, unusual, yet pretty in an odd way. Molly was a tulip, colorful and shockingly strong, able to grow in the cold as well as the heat. Victor was wildflowers, seemingly ordinary, but actually quite extraordinary. Plus, wildflowers looked wonderful in a bouquet with tulips. Klara was wisteria, mysterious, yet very beautiful. Xavin was a rose. She was usually prickly, almost unbearably so, yet she had a beauty all her own.
Yet, why was Gertrude the embodiment of her favorite flower? Like a violet, Gert was simple, and in many ways, she was. Yet, there was something almost complex about Gert, like violets. They were also seen as plain, and very few people saw their true beauty.
Violets or roses? A question Karolina may never know the answer to.
I'm weird, I realize that. Oh well, read and review.
