"Ahhh!" She jumped right out of her slumber into a lack of breath, growing fear, and pounds of sweat pouring out of her. Holo had just awaked from a vicious nightmare. Snapping out of her shock, she quickly looked over to her gray-haired partner who was sound asleep.
"Nothing can awaken that boy. It'll take a herd of elephants, a circus, and a carnival all at once to wake him up." Finally calm, she decided to get a glass of water and go straight back to sleep. Tip-toeing on her way to the water jug, a streak of thunder made its way through and made a giant, blood-curling sound. Forgetting the water, she ran straight back to her bed filled with even more fear than before. Holo hid under her blanket but she was still shaking.
"Nothing's working," she screamed in her mind, "Am I going to stay scared all night?" Now she was crying with all hope of salvation gone. Looking back over at her silent companion, she noticed that he was all the way at the right edge of his bed leaving the middle and left side for anything to crawl on.
"Or in my situation, anyone!" With this she snuck her way across the room and into the welcoming space that was presented to her. Now calming down, she had a problem of falling back to sleep. Lying beside him wasn't enough for her to get the full effect of feeling sleepy. Thinking she always remembered she easily fell asleep cuddling to a teddy bear. With this in mind, she wrapped her arms around her companion's torso and pulled him in closer. She buried her face in between his arm and the bed.
"It's like being 5 years old again," she cooed while starting to fall asleep. She was then instantly asleep now dreaming of her younger days running around with her teddy bear Puff-Puff.
