Thoughts of a Nurse

Summary: Well, remember what happened in 'To Shansu in L.A.'? We all know the
POV of Angel - maybe Cordys and Wes' too. But we don't know the POV of the nurse
in the hospital, who meets Angel several times.
Spoilers: Nope. Hey, it is a Season 1 story...

"I'm
looking for Cordelia Chase." he says. His voice is trembling.
The woman
"She's ah The doctor is with her. If you'll just have a
seat over there"
He hears the woman screaming he has asked for. And then he runs to her room.
He doesn't even listen to the nurse, when she tries to stop him. He leaves
her behind at her desk.
She never saw a man who's so lonely.
May I say lost?

Hours later –
he left the hospital long ago – she's still thinking about the man.
The thing she could remember best were his eyes.
So deep and so much loneliness in them.
She puts some files back.
I don't know. But it seemed as there was more than just friendship or
if they were brother and sister. A brother would not care that much about his
sister and a friend may visit her. But he?
She shrugs and get back to work.

Where does he
come from?
She watches him, as he's passing the desk, without even take notice of
her existence.
He looks like he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders and
he seems so lonely.
She looks at the door, where he just has passed through.
And he looks like he lost more than the woman he cares so much about. I really
don't know how it feels to lose family or a close friend. And I better
don't wanna know how it feels. I don't wanna be in his place
No one wants to be in such a situation as he was in. No one wants to lose his
family. Or the ones he loves and cares about. The people who connect yourself
to the world. The people who give you a place in it and a reason to live. No
one wants that. But it is happening.

She was about ending
her work and going home.
A hot bath that would be nice.
Suddenly, a flash and a thunder sound is coming right from the room where she
has lead the wheeled one, Mr. Wyndham-Price. She turns around and runs to the
room. She stops at the threshold and stares at the three of them.
How's that even possible? Ms. Chase was totally driven insane
"I'll get Dr. Evans." she stumbles after a few seconds and leaves
them to get the doctor.
What did they do to Ms. Chase?
Moments later she rushes into Dr. Evans. "Dr Evans" she's
stumbling again. "Ms. Chase on the 4 she she"
"What happened to her?" Dr. Evans asks alarmed.
"She she's sane." The nurse seems totally perplexed and
leads Dr. Evans to Ms. Chase's room.
There is a pale and weak Cordy talking to the one man on her left.
The nurse smiles lightly when she sees the man holding the hand of the woman
and smiles at her.
He seems so happy to have her back I wish I had someone who cares about
me the way he does
She sighs and then follows the doctor into the room.
