The snow fell to the ground as if it were covering it with a blanket. There was and never is any spring in this once proud land, Rose had made sure of it. The spring, summer, and fall reminded her of her sister, who had hatefully betrayed her and left her with the hateful revenge of the Ice Phoenix trapped inside her. Due to that, Roses appearance had changed…Her once beautiful raven black hair had been transformed to a pure white color to match the snow that was gracefully falling from the sky, her eyes were still the same blue color they had always been but had grown more hateful toward her sister, her skin had gone from a perfectly healthy color to pure creamy pale color, and as for her heart…it had not grown cold but it was slowly breaking. She knew that her beloved was gone because of what her sister, Sarah, did. The horrifying sight still replayed in her dreams every night…now all Rose wanted to do was join her beloved in the afterlife. She had gone to ask the fire king, Ikuto, for some way to end her life. The king could see her troubled heart wanted to be laid to rest, so he gave her an hourglass that would countdown the final moments of her life. With each grain of sand that fell, Rose's power soon started to fail and the spell she had cast over the land was slowly fading. Sarah soon learned of the deal that her little sister had done with the fire king and she raced to her kingdom. By the time she got there, poor Rose was lying near Nuada's grave, her beloved, ready to be taken to the next life.
"Why choose this path? Why die so young? I gave you a gift, my sister." Sarah growled out as she stared at her sister with rage. Rose just smiled up at her sister and whispered out, before falling into death's awaiting arms,
"Was it really a gift or was it a curse you placed upon me, my sister?" And with that, Rose's body soon melted and sunk into the ground, right next to Nuada's grave. Rose had never wanted it to end this way…she wanted to live a long life with her husband and her child but it was a vain attempt to even think such a thing. Sarah had heard that her sister had fallen in love with the Prince of the Elven People but she would have none of it. She falsely accused Nuada of stealing the royal family jewels, which she had given to him to show she welcomed him to the family, and had him executed. Rose never did forgive her sister and decided to fight back against her sister which ended very badly, Sarah had decided to punish her sister by forcing the Ice Phoenix's power into her body. She had called it a gift but Rose had called it a curse.
