I sat up quickly, covered in a cold sweat. That was probably the worst of the visions. They had been coming more frequently and I wondered if that meant what I'd hoped.

"InuYasha, what's the matter?" Kagome asked, concern covering her face.

"Nothing, Kagome, it's nothing. You should go back to sleep, it's been a pretty long day."

She frowned slightly "If you're sure…" she hesitantly stated. " Good-night, InuYasha," she lied back down.

"Good night, Kagome," However, it would not be a good night.

I awoke the next morning to the phantom smell of sulfur, the scent burned into my nose. I yawned lightly, trying to give off the air of casualty, but I could see that my friends weren't buying it. They knew something was wrong; it was only a matter of time before Kagome confronted me about it.

I looked around the village. It seemed as though none of them had gotten any sleep either. Had they been plagued by the same dream? I doubted that very much.

"What troubles ye, InuYasha?" My fears were realized; Kaede knew. Her hand was placed on my shoulder, a gesture of friendship. She looked up at me with her knowing eye. Perhaps she knew more than I thought.

"I had a dream."

"What kind of dream?"

I looked away. "The kind of dream that is filled with blood shed and sorrow; the kind of dream that doesn't allow a man to sleep at night."

"Do ye know why ye have had such a dream, InuYasha?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Kaede, I have had these troublesome dreams before, they aren't always so bad; they usually tell me something about a child being born, or of someone finding happiness or something like that. I…I think we should talk more about this later." I said quickly when I noticed Kagome walking towards us.

"Talk about what?" Kagome asked a worried look on her face as she tilted her head. She looked like a pup that had just discovered something absolutely fascinating.

"Nothing, Kagome, nothing; you don't need to worry about it." I sighed; she may not have to worry about it, but I do.

"Kaede?"

"I cannot tell you if InuYasha does not want you to know." Kaede kept my secret.

Kagome sighed, "Alright," she said softly. "If you decide to tell me, InuYasha, I'm always here."

"There's nothing to tell, Kagome."

Disclaimer: Goddess Evangeline doesn't own SHIT!!! If she did, Sesshomaru and InuYasha would be goin at it in every episode, I'd probably even slip a little bit of Kouga in there for flavor…hee, hee.
