A/N: Little pointless canon drabble that sprung into my mind when I was having a HSM marathon... Because I really believe they had their first kiss that night. Enjoy!
Invitation
"Would you like to come in?"
They had been standing on her balcony, just reading the music sheets he'd brought her for what felt like an eternity when he heard her timid voice softly utter the words.
He looked down at her, melting at the sparkle in her chocolate brown eyes and couldn't help but smile. Oh, how he wanted to come in. But it was late at night and her mother was downstairs. He didn't want this thing between them, whatever it was, to move too fast.
She obviously noticed his hesitance and a small frown formed on her face as she stared up at him with those big puppy dog eyes and oh, why was he resisting a girl as pretty and adorable as her?
"I… Sure."
She smiled happily and led him into her room, lying down on the bed and snuggling into the comforter. She closed her eyes and sighed and he felt a little twitch in his guts at the sight in front of him.
Suddenly feeling nervous, he sat down on the bed as far away from her as he could and kept looking at her. She sat up and grabbed the music sheet from his hands – he couldn't help but feel an involuntary chill run down his spine as their hands met in the briefest of touches – and softly started humming the melody as she lay back on the bed.
Both faces turned into a delightful shade of pink as they caught each other's eyes several times and while a timid smile was starting to form on her pretty face, she started to sing.
As he listened to her angelic voice singing the heartfelt words, he felt an overwhelming feeling of adoration for this girl and before he knew what he was doing, he had crawled up the bed and moved closer to her.
When she noticed him right next to her, she abruptly stopped singing and let her mouth hang open a little in what seemed to be shock, maybe anticipation.
He would have told her to continue, but he was too fascinated by her pink, glossy lips and after looking into her eyes for another brief second, he slowly leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to her lips.
The kiss only lasted a mere seconds, but it felt like an eternity in heaven to him. As their lips parted, he stared at her again, his heart pounding loudly in his chest.
She blinked a couple of times and then grinned up at him blissfully, "Wow."
"Yes, wow," he said, chuckling, before he leaned in for another, deeper kiss.
He was happy that she had invited him in.
