Day to Tell
There was only the moonlight to guide him this night. If there was a need for more light, he could supply it either way. A slight rustle from behind startled him, but realizing it was nothing to worry about, he continued on. He saw their camp. Today was not the day to hunt. Today was a day to tell.
It was hard to try and figure out who was who, but he got it eventually. He awoke the Earth Bender silently. Haru was going to scream out for help, but Zuko silenced him with his hand. The Earth Bender was hesitant, until Zuko mumbled, "It's about Sammy…"
They walked into a clearing and Zuko told about how Sammy had decided to leave. Haru's face was blank, but when everything was over, he murmured under his breath.
Zuko left without any words of condolence. Haru understood why. They both were hurting. Strongly, they both didn't want her to go. Haru looked to the ocean and sighed, turning away. "I… didn't want her to go."
'Oh, Haru… don't turn emo on me! I swear I'll do my best to come back. I promise!'
Haru looked to see Yue and the Ocean goddess staring at him. Holding back tears, he asked, "I never got to know your name, Ocean Goddess."
"Hah, believe it or not, my human name used to be Samantha," she replied, winking cutely. Haru's eyes widened. "But now, I'm called Umi. Cute, isn't it?"
The Earth Bender chuckled lightly as the two goddesses faded away. There was still a feeling in his heart, wasn't there? There was still a chance she'd come back, right? Zuko must know the same thing. Well, he'd wait, but somehow, he got the feeling…
She was coming back…
She was coming back real soon.
End of Day to Tell
Author's Notes: Yeah, this is like the epilouge to Quote Me on That, Won't Ya?. I get the feeling that I WILL come back, but there has to be something... different. Anyone have an idea? Please help me.
