It was perfect. It was evil. It was a terrible terrible thing to do. And Defiant loved it! The little ship prided herself on her pranking ability and this was no different. Her latest prank involved a fake dimensional portal meant to mimic all the features of a real portal and a full sized holographic projector of the mirror universe. Her victim, USS Enterprise-E. The flagship was surprisingly fun to prank. She didn't just ignore Defiant and make it boring but she was never out to kill the little ship either. She'd chase Defiant sure and it was both fun and terrifying for both ships, even though Enterprise would never admit it.
The setup was complete and Defiant retreated to her own berth to admire her handy work, hiding her anticipation as Enterprise sailed into spacedock. Defiant was pretending to read, hiding her smirk behind her Padd. Once Enterprise had sailed passed the little starship reached down to a spot beside her and activated the remote control for the portal. She counted down mentally and right on cue a scream was heard and Enterprise raced out of her berth which instantly vaporized under a direct phaser shot by the flagship. The strike revealed the remains of Defiant's handy work.
Slowly the flagship turned around and Defiant gulped as she saw those silver-blue eyes land directly on her. "Um, I plead the fifth!" Defiant squeaked and in the next second she was at warp. Enterprise raced after her.
That night, Defiant shifted and grumbled as she tried to find a comfortable position in her berth, a berth that had to be shared with the Sovereign-class starship. As payback for her prank, Enterprise made Defiant share her berth until her own could be rebuilt. The cramped quarters were uncomfortable but it would take a lot more than a little discomfort to end Defiant's pranking streak.
