Hey everyone! I signed up to a few days ago and this is my first story! I hope it is okay since as I'm not that good at writing stories! Please read and review and tell me if you like it or not and on what I should improve on next time since as this is only a oneshot. Enjoy!
Angel
He woke up and immediately felt the small warm weight on top of him. He smiled to himself. Sawyer and Kate had been together for about a week now and he still couldn't believe she chose him. Yet here she was sleeping beautifully on him. Her and Jack had been closer than him and Kate and he expected to see them coming out of Jack's tent holding hands any day… but no. Kate had chosen him.
That day when he found out her choice was simply put the best day of his life. There couldn't have been a better day. He remembered it so clearly and he promised to himself that he would never forget it.
He remembered her running over to him. He remembered her face when she looked up at him and kissed him. That kiss… that kiss was the most amazing kiss any woman had ever given him. And most of all he remembered her words after that moment:
'Stay with me forever, Sawyer… please?'
He remembered himself grinning down at her and feeling the happiest he had ever felt.
'Of course I will. I'll stay with you forever, Kate.'
No more words needed to be said at that moment. They both meant their words and they would both keep their promises.
Since that day, Sawyer felt so happy. He made some promises to himself – that he would never con again and that he would stay with Kate forever and protect her until the day he died.
She stirred a little in her sleep she turned around a bit and then carried on sleeping. He hadn't loved any women in his life and he didn't think he ever would, until the day he met Kate. No woman had ever made him feel the way that Kate did. Everything she did, every moment that Sawyer spent with her was a precious moment. He had something to live for.
To him, she seemed like a porcelain doll. He knew that she was strong inside but he still had the need to protect her from whatever dangers came their way.
He loved everything about her. Her eyes, her lips, her hair, her hands, her freckles. He loved the way she smiled up at him, the way she kissed him, the way she talked to him, the way she slept next to him. He loved her stubbornness, her determination, her sense to keep going and never give up.
And she loved him. No one had ever loved him. She loved him for who he was and they both knew that. Both of them had shared similar experiences. Both of them had done wrong things in their lives. But that was in the past, and their future has just begun. He would love her and protect her. His Freckles. His Kate. His angel.
