I just thought that this would be a nice little thing to do.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own Yu Yu Hakusho.
Seigi walked slowly down the dark street. A few birds were heard chanting their immortal song of night as she walked by the trees and into the tiny clearing.
A smile graced Seigi's blood red lips as she realized where her unconscious thoughts had brought her. She walked up to the large tree in the center and ran her fingers over its aged bark.
"Five hundred years..." Seigi murmured, closing her eyes "Five hundred years, my friend. You are getting quite old..." she continued, completely unaware of the one-person audience she had until he stepped out of the shadows.
"To whom is your beautiful voice directed?" Kurama asked softly and pleasantly.
Seigi turned around with a slight noise of surprise. She looked over the red haired young man before her chocolate eyes locked with his green ones.
Seigi allowed the stranger a pleasant smile; he seemed to be of no harm.
"You may think me strange, but I was speaking toward this tree," Seigi said, slightly embarrassed.
The man before her smiled prettily before walking up to Seigi and the tree. She noticed how the man brushed his fingers across the tree's wood.
"My name is Kurama, may I ask yours?" the man asked. Seigi looked at Kurama with a soft gaze and smiled.
"Unlike most people, you are polite enough to introduce yourself first before asking of another's name. How nice. My name is Seigi, I am pleased to meet you," Seigi said. She stifled a slight gasp of surprise as Kurama took a hold of her fingers delicately and kissed her hand softly.
Kurama smiled up at her, still bowing.
"It is nice to meet you, Seigi... Very nice," he said and straitened himself.
Seigi blushed, the red color flushing her cheeks softly. Kurama's smile grew wider, and Seigi blushed even more. She quickly turned back to the tree, laying her hands on it.
Kurama took note of this, and turned his attention to the tree as well. His hand glided across the smooth wood as he looked up into the seemingly endless branches.
"This tree is a species of cherry tree that was thought only to have lived during the Feudal Era," Seigi said softly "It was almost wiped out a few years ago when wood dealers put down that it was to be fetched for a high price. This is one of the very few left in existence. They are almost gone," she finished.
Kurama looked at Seigi as she said this, and looked over the woman. She was fairly short, only about five-foot-five, and had beautiful long, green hair that swayed in the blossom filled breeze. Her eyes were gentle, yet more stable and secure than the tree before them.
A smile played on Seigi's lips as she caught Kurama staring at her.
"Yes?" she asked teasingly. Kurama smiled and shook his head; he had a feeling that he would be coming here much more often now.
Very short, I know, but I thought it was cute. This is the first time I've ever just done a one chapter story, but I want to know if you liked it! Review please!
