I don't actually know what to call this yet because I don't know what I'm writing but before we start, I'm Claudia and I'll try my best to be as literate as possible. Thank you I guess :)
Luna's POV
She was truly beautiful, the red headed goddess. Long flowing locks, the softest features, a beautiful smile and the cutest button nose. He face graced all those who saw her and her presence filled a room without her even opening her mouth. That's my best friend Ginny, well I like to think of her as my crush, much like every other male or female in the school. She stirred from her sleep just as I pushed myself out of bed, worried I'd woken her I froze solid. Her eyes flickered open showing the world her deep chocolate eyes. They intoxicated me, made me behave in odd ways, she truly was a goddess. Everyone knew she was the most attractive girl in Hogwarts. She made the butterflies in my stomach soar, the thoughts in my head scramble, the wrackspurts in my ears multiply. She was a beacon of beauty in this ugly work of death and destruction. God, McGonagall really was right when she said inter house dorms were a good idea. Ginny pulled herself up from her pillows and stepped out the bed, with a flick from her wand the bed sheets looked untouched again and the pillows were tucked neatly under the sheets. It looked almost as perfect as her. "Morning Luna" came the angelic voice from the toilet. I walked towards her, she still managed to uphold her elegance even as she brushed her teeth. Most people tend to look like fools when they do this but not her.
It was a Saturday. Which meant no classes. Which meant I could spend the day with Ginny. I'd ask her at breakfast to study with me in the library or maybe by the Lake since summer was just beginning. Breakfast was in 30 minutes and I'd still yet to dress or shower. I walked back over to my bed and pulled the covers back, grabbing a fresh towel and some shampoo. I stepped into the shower, my muscles relaxing and my head calming down. I'd stand here forever if I didn't have things to do. I quickly showered and washed my hair, wrapping myself up in a towel as my teeth began to chatter. I plodded into the dorm and sat on my bed momentarily staring into space when a hand ran in front of my face, ah Hermione, she always checked up on me. Just 10 minutes until breakfast, shoot. I stood up and dressed myself in a black corduroy pinafore and a striped yellow shirt underneath. I used a spell to dry my hair as a time saver and pulled it up into a messy bun. I left the dorms just as it turned 9, breakfast time. Ginny was waiting for me in the common room. That was sweet of her. Together we walked down to the Great Hall, yellow candles graced the room with flickering light and the curling depicted a calm summers morning, perfect. Ginny and I sat down with Hermione, Harry, Ron and Neville.
As people began to load their plates with food, I leaned over to Ginny and spoke in a low voice "Ginny, I was wondering if you'd like to go for a study date down by the lake? Well, not a date, like a friend date. You know what I mean" I was babbling and I began to blush. Ginny looked down on me with her gracious smile and agreed. We ate together, then began to walk back to the new inter house dorms picking up our study materials and made our way down to the lake.
To be continued...
