Just a random one-shot I thought up of when I learned how to do a magic trick with a citrus fruit, it`s quite impressing really cuz I could actually do it!

Disclaimer: Well I own the orange...

Enjoy if you can! ;)

-----------------

Rigsby sat on the chair in the kitchen, looking at the orange that Grace had given him that morning. He wasn`t a massive lover of Citrus fruits, apart from orange cake, with all the oranges pulled off.

"Wayne" Jane said, in a not-so-shocked voice as he watched Rigsby roll the orange about the table while sipping his water and glanced up at him.

"Hey Jane" he replied letting his gaze drop to the blue mug in his hands.

"I see Grace has packed your lunch again, how was it?"

"Chicken salad sandwich was ok and the yogurt was tasty and then I get this. An orange" he stated, holding the said orange up to the light and made a disgusted face.

"Can I use you orange?" asked Jane and Rigsby looked at him. What was going through his head this morning?

Rigsby glanced down at the fruit and rolled it across the table as Jane caught it as it rolled off.

"I can guess how many segments are in this orange, without opening it" Jane smiled, leaving his blue mug in the sink and sat down next to Rigsby.

"Yeah right" Rigsby said. That`s not possible, no one can do that! Jane just studied the orange carefully and Cho just happened to be passing outside and came in, his arms crossed over his chest.

"Wanna make a bet?" Jane asked and Rigsby raised his eyebrows.

"Fine. Five bucks, that`s it I swear" he said, pulling a five dollar bill from his wallet and placed it in the centre of the table along with Cho. The orange was placed in the centre of the table and Jane looked at the shape.

Round?

Yes.

Average?

Yes.

"Ok I`m done. I`m gonna take a wild guess and say...10 segments"

Rigsby and Cho exchanged knowing looks and looked at the orange that Jane picked up.

Jane grinned as he finished peeling the orange and ripped off each of the segments one by one, laying them out on the table.

Rigsbys jaw dropped and Cho looked shocked.

"How did you do that man?!" he exclaimed and Jane's grin widened, he loved doing this trick but people often got it luckily Cho and Rigsby didn`t. He hadn`t done this trick in years, so he enjoyed seeing their facial expressions change every few seconds.

"You cheated; No-one can do that"

"I guessed" Jane shrugged pocketing his winnings and then he grinned again.

"Seriously Jane" Rigsby said, following him out into the bullpen.

"A real magician never reveals his secrets" Jane answered, lying down on his couch and closed his eyes.

He smiled. No-one could ever get that one if anyone did it was very few.

The answer always stayed in the inner core of the fruit...

---------

Yes I know, short and crappy but I liked the trick and once I learned it this idea came into my head.

Please don`t review and just tell me you hate it and it`s the worst story ever and that you hate me...I`m not really expecting reviews :)

Review if you like, I don`t mind...I just felt like posting this along with my new story...which actually is a story!

Love you guys,
