When: For Round 9 of the QLFC. I'm supposed to give a next-generation character a disability. My optional prompts are "Full moon" and "Look, it doesn't matter – forget it, okay?"
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter.
A/N I'm writing this really quickly, but I plan to come back and do a re-write later.
Summary: Teddy Lupin was supposed to be normal.
"Look, it doesn't matter- forget it, okay?"
Victoire Weasley merely stared at the floor, completely taken aback by the harshness of Teddy's tone, "Of course it matters, Ted. You can talk to me."
Teddy tried to turn away from her, but she caught him by the arm. He yanked away from her touch, but, despite himself, couldn't look away.
"Something's wrong with me," He started, his eyes wide and fearful, "I don't know how to explain it to anyone, not even you, Vic."
"That's a load of shit, Teddy Lupin," Victoire snapped, "I'm your best friend. You have to tell me."
He glanced around the crowded Great Hall nervously, "Fine," he spat out, "but not here." He grabbed her hand and dashed for the exit, once again taking Vic by surprise. He wasn't normally so erratic."
Teddy only slowed down once he had reached a deserted corridor, Vic followed close behind, breathing heavily from their mad-dash up the staircase, "What," She gasped, "the fuck is going on, Teddy?"
"You have to promise not tell anyone," He said, his still wide, "not even your dad...or Harry. Nobody."
Victoire chuckled, "What did you do this time? Set fire to the library again?"
Teddy rolled his eyes, "That was you, not me, remember?"
"Right," Vic said, smiling despite herself, "What is it then? Out with it!"
Teddy took a deep, calming breath, "Tomorrow is a full moon."
Victoire frowned, "What does that have to do with any-" Half through her sentence, realization dawned on her, "Your dad? Bad you're not a werewolf. Lycanthropy isn't genetic."
Teddy sighed, "Apparently it is."
"What? How?"
"Last full moon, I noticed that something was off...and I...I" he paused, and to Vic's surprise, Teddy had started to cry.
Vic pulled him into her arms, "Teddy, it's okay. We'll figure this out."
She held him silently, wishing she could believe her own words.
A/N Sorry for length, I plan to expand it later.
