Yeah, I have to get the bus for the first time today. Mum confiscated my car keys. Dad's banned me from getting lifts from Alec or Aline. Hodge has taken away my walking heels in order to stop me from walking home. So my life.
I think my family think that making me get the bus to and from school would stop me from going to my friend's parties. Oh, how are they wrong! In fact I'm probably gonna go to more parties and clubs to relief the stress and pain of the bus. Anyway… wish me luck!

I took my usual seat on the bus. Right at the back, headphones in, comic book up and try to ignore everyone else on the bus. None of my friends like Clary and Eric live near me so I have to get the bus that's full of all of all kinds of people. First you have the nerds. Personally I'd call myself a nerd but these guys sit there doing their homework and others. Then there's the Goths. They're just weird. Then there's the jocks and cheerleaders. The people who like to ruin my life. Well, they actually ignore me. Maybe a bit too much. For example they just sit on my lap pretending I'm not there or throws books at my head claiming that "There isn't anything there!" Jace is their leader. That boy has no brain, I swear. Then there's Sebastian and Jonathon. Best friends and leaders of the school's football team. Then there's the twins: Kaelie and Seelie and their ridiculous looking brother Meliorn. Then finally, Aline. She sits at the back of the group and joins in with their laughter but nothing else. Someone once saw her shopping with Maia, my mate Jordan's girlfriend.
Anyway today's music choice is The Foo Fighters: Breakout on repeat (AN Check out this song – it's like one of my favs). Once my headphones are in and comic book is out I settle into my seat. My stop is one of the last – which is good because I get first pick of the seats write next to the window, near-ish to the door and far away from the bin, which I swear hasn't been changed for like 4 years. And perfect distance away from the 'popular' kids.
The engine starts and we start to drive away from the school grounds. I was just getting involved in my Batman comic book when the bus lurched to a stop. The doors open and Isabelle Lightwood, Jace's sister, climbs on. "Sorry! Didn't realise the bus was here."
"Nah it's alright! The more the merrier on Gus the Bus. (5SOS Anyone?)" The driver, Luke, says. Luke's a nice guy. He used to drive the Kindergartens to and fro the swimming pool, so he does treat us quite like kids, but that's alright. I watch as Isabelle begins to make her way down the aisle of the bus. Everyone stares at her as she picks where to sit even though the only two seats is next to Kaelie or…. Me.
As much as I wouldn't mind having the prettiest girl sat next to me but I wouldn't want her to get teased if she tried to make conversation with me. Trying to be as discreet as possible I slide along to the aisle seat and put my backpack onto the seat next to me. She smiles at me. She smiled at me. Isabelle Lightwood just smiled at me. She runs over to my seat and jumps up and down like a child on Christmas day. I look back down at my comic but unplug my headphones. H-h-h-hmmm I hear a cough from next to me and look up to see Isabelle still standing next to me.
"May I sit down?"
