KID vs. CONAN
Chapter 1
"Did you hear about the gem Kaitou Kid is targeting? It's going to be shipped to Vegas."
A girl asked.
"Yeah. Isn't that the large sapphire named Cerulean Heart? Am I right, Aoko?" Keiko replied.
"Like I care! That thief doesn't do anything but steal!" Aoko yelled.
"I heard that Kid's going to chase after it, right, Kuroba-kun?" Akako asked. "I said, I'm not Kid." Kaito mumbled.
Of course I'm going to chase after it. Kaito thought. That gem can possibly be Pandora.
"Aoko-chan, speaking of Vegas, aren't you going there with your dad and Kaito-kun?" Keiko asked.
"Yeah. They thought Kid's going to be there so they want to go." Aoko said.
One Week Later…
"I'm so excited to go to Las Vegas!" Ran said, excitedly.
"Yeah!" Conan replied.
"Just because that Jirokichi-san wanted to ship the gem there so Kid would chase after it." Kogoro complained.
"Isn't it nice? We're going to Las Vegas and all!" Ran said. Kogoro continued complaining. He didn't want to ride a plane because he was afraid of heights.
"Oh yeah, Conan-kun, did you ask permission from your parents that you're going to America?" Ran asked.
"Not yet." Conan said.
"Ask permission! I don't want them worrying about you." Ran continued.
Oh yeah. My parents are currently in Las Vegas. Oh man. Conan thought.
"Seeing the airplanes make me nervous." Kogoro mumbled.
"It's okay, uncle. Just keep the windows closed." Sonoko said.
"I'm really excited!" Ran said. She had been saying it all day.
Meanwhile, Kaito, Aoko, and Inspector Nakamori were waiting silently.
"Man, I'm really excited." Kaito said, breaking the silence.
"You're just excited because of Kid." Aoko grumbled.
"Well, he is really going there, as he said in his notice." Nakamori explained.
In the city of cards and games,
On the next full moon night,
I will in all my might,
Chase after the heart blue,
When lights flicker above the avenues.
I will snatch it from its place,
And the crowd will stand amazed.
