In the dark
Gothic: Just an inspired piece of poetry I thought of at about 3.00 or 4.00am in the morning. Yeah, I know it was the middle of the night, but I'm a little night owl, so find me the next morning with bleary eyes and I'll get back to you! Okay, Kitty…
Kitty; Hi, I'm Gothic's muse, so you'll find me every so often, I have lots of names, but just call me Kitty.
Gothic: I meant the disclaimer….
Kitty: Oh, right. Okay, pay attention everyone! *clears throat* Gothic does not own the Teen Titans. You will not sue her for writing this piece of fictional writing.
Gothic: Thank you Kitty. Now, read the poem people!

In The Dark
Through the window, everything is still.
I am enchanted, drawn without free will.
I have hunted for such a beautiful sight.
Everything hushed, no scuffles, no fights.
For across the Earth, Wind and Sea,
There is my hope, emotions running free.
There is something, deep in the dark,
I cannot tell, as it calls with it's bark.
Something shines amongst the stars.
Moonlight off the roofs of cars.
The wind softly touches my face.
The still night wraps me in it's embrace.
For across the Earth, Wind and Sea,
There is my hope, emotions running free.
There is something in the dark,
I cannot tell, as it calls with it's bark.
Cloudy nights, and faintly lit moon.
It comes, it goes, this feeling so soon.
Thought the thin blanket and seams.
There are sleepers, thinkers and dreams.
For across the Earth, Wind and Sea
There is my hope, emotions running free.
There is something in the dark.
I cannot tell, as it calls with it's bark.
Eventually, the night fades away,
There is the dawn, of a new day.
My eyes awaken from where they sleep.
These thoughts in my head, I shall keep.
For across the Earth, Wind and Sea,
There is my hope, emotions running free.
There is something in the dark,
I cannot tell, as it calls with it's bark.
Every single night, this darkness comes back.
Every single dawn, this darkness runs like a rat.
I cannot rest, I cannot sleep.
Lest the darkness escapes from it's keep.
For across the Earth, Wind and Sea,
There is my hope, emotions running free.
At night this thing calls with it's bark.
And I cannot tell, but there is something,
Something, In The Dark.
