"What's the correct wand movement for—"
"Lily, enough with the Transfiguration talk."
"James, we only started ten minutes ago," Lily countered, raising an eyebrow from her seated position at the end of the bed. "Are you honestly bored already?"
"Well I didn't actually think we were going to study," he replied, leaning back so that he was laying flat on his four-poster bed. "To be quite honest, I'm not sure I would have come along if I had. Could have finished that game of chess."
"Really? So what did you think I meant when I asked you if you wanted to do homework?"
James sat up, now leaning back on his elbows. "Well, considering that you specifically asked whether the dormitory would be empty and, well you—you never want to study up here! And now we're on my bed, and you did that thing with your lip, which usually means that you want—ugh, what was I supposed to think? Honestly, Lil."
Laughing, Lily uncrossed her legs and began to scoot down the bed, towards James. Arriving at his side, she swung her left leg over his waist, straddling him. "Well you can be a charming bloke sometimes, I suppose, but if you'd rather go finish that chess match," she leaned forward and kissed him lightly on the lips, "then, by all means, go ahead."
James gripped her hip hard with his left hand, using his right to pull her face back down to his lips. "Nah, m'alright." He sucked on her bottom lip. "Was going to lose anyway."
Lily's hands moved to James' chest, her fingers brushing his collarbone as she began unbuttoning his shirt. As his lips began to roam her jaw and neck, his hands found the bottom of her shirt, tugging upwards.
The two paused briefly, allowing the fabric to break apart their kisses. Taking advantage of this momentary break, James grasped Lily, flipping them over so that he was now leaning over her.
"Oi, what was that—" but her query was cut short by his lips. Her arms were running up and down his chest, over his toned back, and Merlin, what was he doing to her neck now?
One of his hands had found its way under her skirt, creeping up the inside of her leg. Her fingers were in his hair now, and she scratched his scalp lightly.
"Lily," James let out a quiet moan.
BAM!
The door to the dormitory burst open and Peter walked in, Sirius close behind.
"My eyes!" Peter yelled, covering his face as Lily hastily found her shirt and pulled it back on quickly. "I thought you lot were studying!"
"Honestly, Pete, she asked him to study alone in the dormitory. Of course they weren't studying." He paused. "Unless, of course, they were studying James' wandwork." Sirius finished, smirking at the pair.
James looked at Lily. "Told you," he mumbled under his breath.
"Shut it, you."
James turned from Lily to look at Sirius. "Padfoot, why the eff did you let him up here, let alone follow him, if you knew we'd be doing…things?"
"Mostly just to annoy you," he shrugged. "And I figured if I was lucky, maybe I'd get to see a topless bird."
"Oi, paws off, you—"
"Only joking, mate. That's a bit disgusting. No offense, Evans, but you're like my sister."
"You are a fool, Sirius Black," Lily laughed. "Now will you two get whatever you need and leave?"
