Sadly, I do not own the rights to Soul Eater or any of it's characters, those belong to the writer, Atsushi Ookubo. This is my first fan-fiction so take it easy. I came up with this idea at midnight and wrote until two.
Chapter One: From Maka to Soul
Maka's Point of View
Maka Albarn was just enjoying a quiet night at home; glancing at the calendar she saw it was February 13th, one day before Valentines Day. She decided to go out and get some valentines for everyone. At the store she decides to get the Tsubaki candy hearts, Liz candy lipstick, Patty gummy giraffes, Kid some symmetrical peppermints and Black Star and Soul chocolates. On her way home she sees Soul inside a cheesy valentines store. She's about to walk in when she sees Spirit walking down one of the aisles then decides not to.
Soul's Point of View
Soul was looking at the racks of cheesy cards trying to find a valentine for everyone. He got everyone a generic valentine but got Maka a beautifully, romantic one. It was blank on the inside. He wrote:
Maka Albarn,
You are my reason for living.
You are the sun in the sky,
The moon in the night,
My Love.
I love you more than being cool,
More than eating souls.
I love you more than life itself.
You are the one,
My Maka.
Maka was trying to avoid Spirit by taking a roundabout way home; somehow she ended up outside a Hallmark store. She saw Black Star and Tsubaki walking into the store. She thought about following them but then looked her watch and gasped, "Oh no! It's already 5:45! I should have been home an hour ago! Soul will be waiting for his dinner!" She dashed towards her house exasperated.
