Dark Poison
Prologue
The light lost. Voldemort won. All because Harry Potter stopped fighting.
Harry Potter was twenty when he stopped fighting. He told Voldemort he didn't want to fight his entire life, that he wanted a somewhat normal life. That was fair right? He fought since he was eleven, to save and let people live normal life. Did he not deserve to be selfish once in his life?
Voldemort agreed on one condition: that Harry Potter makes an Unbreakable Vow that he would no longer fight against the Dark Lord and his Death Eaters. Harry agreed and the light stopped fighting. There were still rebellions but no one fought an all-out war against the Dark Lord.
That was one year ago.
Now Harry Potter lives a happy life. He is married to Cho Chang and live in Italy, away from the bad memories in England. Ronald Weasley is engaged to Lavender Brown and Ginny Weasley is single, finishing her last year at Hogwarts with plans on training as an Unspeakable. Last but not least, Hermione Granger is running for her life.
The new laws put in by the Dark Lord revoked the rights of muggle-borns. They could no longer vote for a minister of magic and not able to get a job. If a muggle-born, or their official title Mud-blood, does not follow these laws their wands are confiscated and snapped. Some mud-bloods returned to the muggle world, which the dark lord is starting to take over, or they sell themselves on the street. Some fortunate mud-bloods are bought by pure-bloods families. Some are doing the jobs of house-elves or, if the family thinks the mud-blood has potential, they will teach them as a student. They learn how to be "proper" and taught all the family knows.
Hermione ran when the laws were in the process of being made. She is now in Germany, constantly moving, trying to escape the Death Eaters. She fears if she is caught that she will die.
No one knows why the Dark Lord is so interested in Potter's Mud-blood, and Hermione might find out sooner than she thought.
