"Vulcan neck pinch!" Akane shouted as her hand shot out and pinched Shampoo's neck. The first thing that surprised her was that her hand had actually made contact with Shampoo's neck. It's true that Akane had been working on her speed, but the Amazon was still out of her league.
The second thing was that it actually worked. One moment Shampoo was standing in front of her, preparing to strike, the next moment she was crumpled on the ground, limp.
"You're a Trekkie?" Ranma asked incredulously.
"I don't think that that's something that we need to worry about right now Ranma," Akane said, barely controlling her temper. 'Like I really need this kind of treatment from someone who owns and has beaten every game of Pokemon Nintendo has released,' she thought darkly. "That shouldn't have worked."
"Huh?" Ranma asked, "Then why'd you do it?"
"I-it was the only thing I could think of," she stuttered, staring at the unconscious Amazon.
Ranma seemed to consider this. After a moment he said, "What do you mean it shouldn't have worked?"
"They've done studies that showed that that move doesn't really affect the body," Akane explained, "The most it should have done was maybe give her a bruise and really tick her off."
"Why'd you do something if it would just tick her off?" Ranma shouted.
Akane turned big eyes onto Ranma, "I guess I just knew that if things got too out of control for me that you wouldn't let anything bad happen to me," she said sincerely, giving Ranma a cute smile.
Ranma stuttered incomprehensibly and turned an interesting shade of red before his mind grasped onto the only life preserver available. He ignored Akane's comment and stooped down to pick up the unconscious girl. "Well, help me get her back to the Nekohaten," then he said the sweetest thing ever, "Oof, she's even heavier then you."
