Welcome Back
It's past midnight, Phil is sleeping in his bed, as the door to his room is being opened. He wakes up immediately, sitting up and looking at the door in the still dark room.
"No, no. Go back to sleep."
"Dan? Why didn't you call? I told you I'd pick you up."
Dan hastily puts his bag on the floor and takes his coat off, followed by the remaining clothes.
"Come on, the plane was six hours late, no way were I going to wake you up at 2am. Move, I'm cold." Phil slides to the side, making room for Dan, who quickly shoves his body under the covers of Phil's bed. With their arms around each other in a tight embrace, they close their eyes, reveling in the moment.
"Daniel, your hands are ice cold!"
"They are, Phillip, just warm them up already." They feel each others tired smiles in the air. Phil takes Dan's hands in his, warm from the pajama and covers, moving them toward his chest. Heartbeats, whispers, and cars outside the window.
"What happened?"
"Something important went missing, the pilot, I think. Also, it's raining outside." Dan feels the blood pumping in his hands and feet again while he becomes more comfortable in Phil's arms.
"I missed you."
"I missed you, too."
