I don't really have much time alone with Commander Goddard, ever. But when I get it, I feel so nervous, it makes it harder for me to speak. And so rarely are words ever exchanged.

If only I could tell him how I feel!

But that could be embarrassing for us both. I can't bring myself to it.

The Commander, Harlan, and I were in the Command Post, when the Commander dismissed Harlan. What? I could feel the nervousness building.

Commander turned to me, and had his eyebrow arched in that way! Oh, he has the most beautiful face, and his gestures only make it more and more beautiful!

"You don't think much of your old Commander, do you?" he asked me.

I tried to speak, but words wouldn't come out. Commander Goddard relaxed a bit and smiled that smile. "I see. You didn't think I could see how you feel?"

I hung my head down, partially embarrassed, partially out of being shy. Seth walked over and lifted my head gently. "Don't be ashamed."

I gazed into those beautiful eyes. That man is my soulmate.

The passion of the moment must have gotten to us, because before I know it, we were both leaning in and...

"Yo, Hairdo!" Harlan yelled.

I woke up groggily. "Radu," I corrected quietly. "And you don't have to yell."

"I didn't," Harlan said, but shrugged it off. "You're late for class, you know."

I knew, I knew. I sighed as I got up, and I told Harlan I'd be there in ten minutes.

One day I'd finish that dream. I'd have to!

Another Author's Note: Yes! Everyone on the Christa will love Commander Goddard! That man is my true love and soulmate, even if he is a fictional character! I should probably get a crush on someone else, but m'eh. What works, works. And thanks again, Leo! Because of you, I wrote my first slash!
