As the shot rang out, Juliet O'Hara screamed. The shot was heading straight towards her heart. Her eyes were clinched shut in anticipation. Three seconds went by. Five seconds went by. Juliet slowly opened her eyes. What she saw in front of her was not expected. Shawn was on the ground. Lassiter was yelling into his radio. Juliet quickly dropped down next to Shawn. He was bleeding very heavily.

Shawn was going in and out of consciousness. When he was awake, he tried to keep that grin on for Jules sake. Juliet knew that he was in very intense pain. She just laid gently on his chest and whispered softly into his ear. Shawn closed his eyes. Juliet was frantically trying to stop the blood flow. Her tears were freely flowing.
When the day has come

Shawn was thinking about his life in whole. The world around him seemed to freeze. He heard various loud noises, but nothing made sense. He thought about his father, Gus, and Jules. Jules, sweet Jules. He would never be able to survive without his Jules. That is why he chose for his life to be taken instead of hers.

"Shawn! Shawn! You have to hang in there!" When Juliet was removed from Shawn's chest, all she could do is scream. Shawn needed to hold on, he just had to! The ambulance had arrived and the paramedics were fast at work. She was told they restarted his heart two times. They were unable to stop the bleeding until they reached the hospital. Juliet called Henry and Gus. They met her at the hospital.

When the ambulance reached the hospital, Juliet was stuck in the waiting room. Juliet, Henry, and Gus all sat in silence. They were all secretly praying for Shawn to hold on. Shawn just had to make it through the surgery. Shawn took a bullet for Juliet. It wasn't fair for him to die for the one he loved.

The doctor finally came out of the room. "I'm sorry. Shawn didn't make it".
