A/N: Just a little drabble I thought up after a conversation with Shuichi. Hope you guys enjoy it.
Disclaimer: Yeah, nope. I don't own any of it.
"Ugh, seriously?" grumbled Reiner Braun as he stomped out of the laundry building near the barracks. "I hate when gets like this." He stopped once outside and bashed his forehead against the wall and let out a groan of annoyance.
"Uhm, Reiner?" asked a timid voice. The addressed boy turned to see Armin Arlert standing nearby holding a basket of clothes. With him were Eren Jeager, Mikasa Akerman, Sasha Braus, and Connie Springer. "Why did you just slam your head against the wall?"
"Bertl's being annoying again," Reiner huffed and leaned back against the wall. "I appreciate that he likes to wash my clothes for me, but does he have to be so darn compulsive with it?"
"I've never known Bertholdt to be compulsive about anything," spoke Connie.
"Yeah, isn't he usually pretty laid back?" asked Eren.
"Any other time, you'd be correct," Reiner grouched. "But he's doing laundry right now. And when he does laundry, he's an obsessive-compulsive nutcase."
"Really?" asked Sasha as she took a bite of the bread roll she'd filched from the mess hall. "I never would've suspected."
"Go in there and see for yourself," said Reiner. "I'm telling you, though, it's not pretty." The taller boy followed his friends into the wash house. "I told you."
To everyone's amazement, Bertoldt Fubar sat in the middle of the floor surrounded by laundry baskets. "All the pants go in this basket, because they're white. And our shirts go in this basket because they're dark green. And underwear goes in this basket because it needs to be washed more gently." The list went on and on.
"I didn't know there were so many ways to wash clothes," said Armin, looking down at his own basket.
"There shouldn't be," said Reiner. "But give Bertl a basket of clothes, he'll find as many ways to sort and separate them as he can before washing each 'category' individually. It's a nightmare."
"Has he always been like this?" asked Mikasa.
"Pretty much," Reiner deadpanned. "He was actually worse when he was younger. We won't talk about that." The group watched Bertholdt for a few minutes more. "You guys should come back and do your laundry later. If you do it while he's here, he'll freak out and start sorting your laundry for you. It's best to just leave him alone for now." Deciding that Reiner knew his friend best, the other cadets filed back out of the building to return to their barracks. Reiner gave his best friend one last glance, then walked out with a fond shake of the head. "He's never going to change," he grumbled, but he couldn't deny that the thought put a smile on his face.
