The third story of "The Continuing Adventures of Kipper" created by me and tate310, this time it's "Kipper's New Television" Enjoy and comment.
One beautiful day, Kipper the Dog was watching the World Cup final between England and Brazil on television. It was the final moments of the game and England was bringing the ball close to the net. The player shot the ball, when the television went black.
"Oh no!" he groaned. "My TV's broken!"
He unplugged the television, and plugged it back in, but it wouldn't turn back on.
"Oh well." he sighed, "I better go buy another one after I go visit Tiger."
He walked over to Tiger's house. When he arrived, he was surprised to see a gigantic satellite dish on the roof.
"Wow!" he exclaimed. "What is that?"
Just then, Tiger came to the door.
"Hello Kipper! What are you doing!"
"I was on my way to buy a new television set when I noticed that big dish on the roof. What's that for?"
"It's called satellite. And it's really cool. Would you like to see it?"
"Who won the soccer match?" asked Kipper.
"It was so exciting! England scored at the last second and won!" exclaimed Tiger.
Kipper was upset that he didn't get to see England win.
"Cheer up Kipper. Shall I come with you to buy your new television?"
"Yes, that will be nice." replied Kipper.
They soon arrived at the television store. Kipper was surprised to see many different types of televisions.
"How about this one?" said Tiger, pointed to a small flat-screen. "It even has a DVD player in it."
"No." said Kipper. "I want a television similar to my old one.
"They don't make those types of televisions any more. In fact, they only make flat-screens!"
Kipper kept walking, when his eye was set on a 46 inch flat-screen.
"Tiger! Look, I found my new television!"
"It's rather big and heavy. Are you sure you want this?"
"Yes!"
"Alright then, we'll buy it!"
They soon arrived back at Kipper's house. Kipper and Tiger carried in the television very slowly.
"It's quite heavy!" moaned Kipper. "Shall we place it down here?"
"Yes!" cried Tiger.
They placed the television set down, unhooked Kipper's old television, hooked the new television set up, and turned it on.
But there was just one problem. The television was not receiving any channels.
"That's strange." said Tiger. "Why aren't you getting any channels? Do you have cable Kipper?"
"Yes I do."
"Then we shall get you satellite! It looks like that this television is only equipped to handle satellite!"
A few day's later, Kipper was enjoying his new television and satellite service extremely well. His favorite channel is Animal Planet, and he enjoys watching all the exciting new programs he gets with satellite!
