"…" Yuki peeked around the corner 'it's so…pretty" he thought 'That pretty Orange' deciding to approach the boy "um…" the boy turned to face Yuki.
"You're the rat huh?" Yuki was a little surprised by this question, never had he seen this child before and he was asking if he was the rat. "Oh. Um…yes." Yuki began to play with his hands a small blush creeping on his cheeks "I'll…Never forgive you." Yuki looked the boy directly in the eyes after he said that "Do you hear me? I'll never forgive you!" then it Yuki like a ton of bricks biting his lips nervously as the boy continued "It's your entire fault rat! Everything's your fault!" the boy yelled backing up slightly clenching his fist with seething anger.
"SOMEONE AS ROTTEN AS YOU…OUGHTA DO US A FAVOR AND JUST DISAPPEAR!" Kyo turned running off, leaving Yuki to process what just happened replaying the words over and over in his head. (Flashback end)
Yuki looked at the cap in his hand "never would I have thought the day I would be face to face with how we met…living in the same household" the rat felt tears prickle his vision remembering the day he found the cap. (Flashback starts)
The wind blew roughly as Yuki walked home from school when he noticed a red cap flutter to the ground stopping to pick it up when he saw the boy from last time, noting his eyes turned to slits "…Oh. Um here." Yuki extended the cap out offering the orangette to take it. Only for the boy to turn and stomp off, Yuki clutched the hat to his chest sobbing. (Flashback Ends)
He didn't even realize he was crying until a tear hit has hand, bringing his hand up to wipe them away, standing up. Knowing if he did this he would put his pride at stake, stooping so low as to return a cap to the one he hated, with each step he took it made his heart beat faster and more adrenaline pulse through his body. Yuki checked the hall for any signs of Tohru and Kyo then he remembered Kyo and Tohru were out at the grocery store making his way quickly to Kyo's room he set the cap on the bed and left before they returned, cheeks burning with embarrassment. xXx
Kyo walked into his room getting ready to get out of these clothes for a nap when he noticed something red out the corner of his eye, walking over to his bed he picked it up "No…why did he give this back? Why did he have it for so long…? Kyo sat on his bed looking at the cap in his hands "If I gave him the chance instead of that night…could we really have been friends?" laying on the bed he tossed it to the side "could we really have been friends?"
