Okay this is my first fic so go easy on me. I don't really care if you don't like it though. I'll just keep writing.

This fic is about the Archie Comics. It's a final showdown between Betty and Veronica over Archie. There will be a lot of drama in this and the characters personalities will most likely not be the same. This happens when the gang is out of college but they still livein Riverdale. So here I go.

The Final Showdown

Archie's POV (thinking):

I can't wait until my date with Betty tonight. I really wonder what she has planned. It must be really important if she wants me to meet her at the Turtle Shell, the most expensive place in town.

The phone rings

"Hello"

"Hey Archiekins. It's Veronica. I was wondering if you wanted to go to Pop Tates tonight?

"Oh…It sounds great but I'm really sorry. I already have plans with Betty tonight."

"Oh. That girl. Aren't you over her yet? I am way better than she is and you know it."

"Ronnie! That is SO unlike you! You and Betty are best friends. How could you say something like that?"

"Oh I know. I guess some jealousy just came over me. But I mean really. You really pay…you know…a lot of attention to her. And I just wish we could have more time…for…us.

"I tell you what. Tomorrow night we'll go wherever you want."

"Sounds great Archiekins. I can't wait"

"Okay Ronnie seeya tomorrow!"

"Bye!"

Veronica's POV (thinking):

That little two-timing boyfriend stealing bit…Oh what am I doing. I really shouldn't be acting this way. She is my best friend. But I've always wondered what would happen if Archie had to choose between Betty and I. Who am I kidding, of course he would pick me. Or would he?

Betty's POV (talking to Midge on the phone):

"I don't know if I should really be doing this Midge. I mean this I the fanciest restaurant in town and I tell ya, I'm fully freaked out! I mean I'm worried that I don't have enough money or if I don't have a pretty enough dress or…"

"Betty! Calm down. It'll all turn out okay. I mean it's just a date with Arch. You've been on millions of them.

"Yeah but Midge, This isn't just any date."

"What do you mean?"

"Oh sorry! I have to go. I have to finish getting ready."

"Oh okay. I'll seeya at school"

(Betty thinking)

What am I doing. This is the biggest date I've ever been on. And what about Reggie? What a I going to do about him. He would kill me for what I'm going to do

Archie meets Betty at the Turtle Shell. Betty looks very nervous and Archie tries to calm her down. She keeps dropping things etc.

"Betty? U okay?"

"Y…Yeah. I'm okay. I just…I don't know…this is the most expensive restaurant…and…I mean it's just really huge for us to be going here you know. Its like we'll be together forever.

"Y…Yeah. It is I guess. He…he.."

They walk into the restaurant and get seated. They order not the most expensive thing but pricey nonetheless.

"Archie?"

"Yeah Betty?"

"I really do think that this is really special. I think that this date means that we are finally moving forward. I mean we've known each other since we were practically in diapers. That must say a lot huh? I mean we've been through a lot right?"

"Yeah. A lot. But Betty, where are you going with this?"

" I think…I think I'm falling in love with you. No wait I am in love with you."

Betty's POV (thinking):

I have to do this. No backing out know.

"Archie? Will you marry me?"
