Eyes on you
"Kiki!" called Mitsuhide from behind. "Shirayuki and the others has tea waiting for us."
"Really? I'm done with work, how about you?" his partner asks.
"Almost. I just need Zen to sign a few things." he says as he walks beside her. "Let's go."
Kiki only nodded a respond and they both headed back side by side. It's almost sunset, yet it hasn't been 24 hours since they got back but work has already pilled since they were gone.
"Are you sleepy?" Mitsuhide asks.
Kiki stopped from her tracks and stared at him.
"Mmm? What?" he questioned why she stopped.
"I am." Kiki answers him honestly, then started walking again. "I'm surprised you noticed."
"Well.. I'm also tired. I had trouble waking up this morning. I don't think I'll be able to trai-" he replies but coudn't surpass the yawn.
"Straigthen up." she says. "We can at least skip for the night. We may not make it tomorrow if we did."
Right. With all the inspection and meetings they have to attend, just thinking about it makes him wonder how the three of them will make it. "You're right." he sighed.
As they entered the East Wing Shirayuki, Obi, and Zen greeted the two. Mitsuhide immediately passed the final folder to Zen, he signed after bitting a small portion from the pastries Shirayuki brought. As Zen took the file from Mitsuhide he said that he thought that they were already done for today. His aide sighed, promising that this was the last one. Shirayuki gave a faint laugh as she finished preparing the tea, she each gave Mitsuhide and Kiki a cup, along with some small appetizers for them to eat.
"Mm? Shirayuki you're wearing an earring? and you're hair. It looks great on you."
"These? Yuzuri-san gave them to me."
"Yuzuri?" Mitsuhide raised a brow in question.
"Yes, she's also the one who did my hair."
"Yuzuri..."
"She's that blue haired botanist." Obi answered.
"Mmmm..."
"Don't tell me you don't remeber her?" Zen asks.
"I do. I'm just trying to recall her face." he answers.
"We passed them on the way here you know. She was with Ryuu and the others. They were headed outside of the castle, I presume." Kiki says glacing at Shirayuki in agreement. "You didn't notice them didn't you?"
"I didn't... I only had my eyes on you all day." he stated, scratching the back of his head.
And the room went silent. All four glanced at him.
"... My oh my Mister Mitsuhide." Obi retorted.
Realizing the words he just said. "N-no! That's not what I mea-!"
"Master, maybe it's a good idea learning from Mister Mitsuhide as well."
"To learn what?!"
