Summary: Allison Cameron has found her somebody. (Implied H/C)

Author's Note: Eh, it's bad. It started as a Cameron/Cuddy fic, though, so be grateful.

When Allison was five years old, her parents read her fairy tales; stories of princesses and handsome princes. As a wide-eyed Allison listened in rapt attention to her parents, she dreamed of her prince. He would be tall, dark, and handsome; just like Prince Charming. As she played with her dolls, she told them of the beautiful castle she and her prince would live in.

Dolls were replaced with real friends, though; normal children from normal families, just like her. And as she grew, the stories became less frequent until they stopped altogether. Even though she no longer heard the stories, she held deep in her heart that pure wish that one day she would meet her prince and they would live happily ever after. Dolls were replaced with real friends, though.

When Allison was thirteen years old, her mother sat her aside and told her the truth, that there were no handsome princes, nor magical castles to be whisked to. Even though, her mother told her, these things do not exist, there was somebody out there for her. Her somebody didn't have to be a prince of have a castle, buy her somebody did have to be a good person, with a good heart. So Allison grew slightly disenchanted with the handsome boys from school, but deep within her heart the little child she was still held on to her prince charming.

So when Allison finally found her somebody, never in a million years would she have imagined she would find them here, of all places. Though tall, dark, and somewhat good looking, her somebody wasn't exactly the Prince Charming she remembered from childhood. Allison was also sure that when her mother told her there was somebody in the world for her, Doctor Gregory House might not have been exactly what she had in mind. Truth be told, Allison wasn't really complaining. Trade in the sword for biting sarcasm, the cloak and armor for his cane and a bottle of vicodin, and Greg House was somebody very charming indeed.
