"Sirius, you can't do that! You're going to get us both arrested!"
There was no answer, except for the slight shaking of Sirius' back as he laughed.
The noise around became louder and the vibrations faster. The wind gained strength and Remus closed his mouth in fear of passing insects. His heart landed near his liver, and his liver near his bladder, and everything changed into one big blur.
Then it came.
His adrenaline went crazy, lifting his insides and then settling them in their right place. The rush of the air was beating his ears, the vibrations of the engine only strengthening the ecstasy.
And Remus understood why Sirius loved this so much. It was pure freedom and restlessness accompanied by stubbornness. And Remus loved it. He let go of Sirius and spread his hands wide while tossing his head backwards. All emotions were mixing inside him, until he forgot about the whole world except for the warm body in front of him and primal joy of speed. There was nothing left. Nothing. Just speed, the smell of overheated rubber, petrol and oil. And it was perfect!
They rode, not caring about their safety, speed limit or anything else.
