The sun gleamed brightly over the parched meadow. New blades of grass pushed their way through the dead, scorched stalks. A pleasing essence hung in the damp air. Brilliant shades of blue and purple were brushed into the sky. Streaks of orange covered every plant. A small cranny was filled with the orange light. Shadows danced about its wall.
Heavy clouds filled the eastern part of the sky. Thick drops of rain began to fall, and the dense trees began to drink. A young sparrow chirped the final chords of its song. A looming shadow disturbed the field.
Long legs stretched a pace or so. Not leaving a single footprint behind. The sun reflected of the creatures golden hair. Translucent blue eyes stared eagerly at a straying patch of greens. Pointed easy became visible as the wind blew. The wind caught its bag, and blew it from its grasp. Chattel fell all over the small rock.
Deko seeds, Deko Sprouts, Deko Sticks, Blur Berries, and even a couple of Augasta Roots could be visible.
"I'm such a klutz!" whispered the blond being. "Us Wood Elves are always making mistakes. But at the same time, I take that back. Because look at the other Wood Elves, always trying to act as if they were High Elves. Graceful, pretties, always primping themselves. Just thinking about it makes me sick. Well anyways, why did I come here in the first place? Oh yea! Father Lauren asked me to gather young Deko Sprouts." The Wood Elves eyes began to scan the surrounding hillsides. His eyes stopped at a promising patch on top of a small hill.
A low laughter made him stop his decent down the hall. He turned, and was face to face with a Girl. The wind caught the girl's hair. Billowing locks flooded the sky lick an ocean. Bright green eyes pierced into the elf.
"Talking too yourself again?" she asked. A short fit of giggles followed the question.
"I…. I wasn't talking to myself. I was DISSCUSSING THE MATTER OF WHICH father Lauren sent me to do." His face flushed into a bright red. He was horrible at covering up, but he did his best at the attempt. The young girl just stared at him for awhile longer, and the said,
"So, will you be needing help Ashen?"
"Well…" began the boy, "It'd be nice to have the help. You know how hard it is to find Blur Berries? So…will you help?" He looked at the girl eagerly. She nodded, replied, "So, lets get started." She began sprinting down the hill towards the small hill.
"Don't get too ahead!" the boy elf yelled. He closed his eyes, and the said, "small hill."
Before the girl had ever reached the hill, Ashen had reappeared there. He sat there for a moment. Hemma (The girl.) stood shocked.
"How did you do that?" she asked eagerly.
"I'll never tell you. It's one of my secrets. If I told you, you would run off and tell every living Elf, Faerie, and perhaps even the Trolls!"
Hemma glared at ashen. Her eyes where like daggers. Piercing into him. Opened her pouch, and began filling it with Blur Berries. Ashen hadn't expected this response, so he did the same.
For about an hour, they picked in silence. The sun was slowly disappearing behind the mountain range.
