Author's Note: Hi, ya'll! Thought I was dead? Nope! Anywho, welcome to my Zanpakuto Strange Tales drabbles! These are a series of drabbles inspired by the newest arc in the anime! Each drabble will be anything from poetry to prose with random genres thrown in the mess! You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll go wtf!? Some of them might even make you eat your pants in horror (but don't expect a lot of those). However, there will be NO yaoi, yuri, shonen/shoujo-ai, etc...! I just don't do that stuff! Why?
You must be tired of this by now;
Tired of my duplicities.
Yet it is not me you blame,
It is yourself.
Why?
Why do you see yourself as the problem?
Why do you find only yourself at fault?
Why don't you just move on?
Why are you just like me?
I had another in my life besides you
And that was nearly your end.
And now I have walked away
Without giving you even a passing glance.
Why?
Why do you not hate me?
Why do you ask me what you have done?
You have done nothing wrong!
It was all because of me!
You do not show anyone how you feel.
You are often compared to ice.
And just like you, I hide behind
A frozen mask.
Why?
Why do you still care?
You should have just forgotten about me.
But you can't because you know
I haven't forgotten you.
You know.
You know I'm trying to keep you safe
Even though I might earn your despise.
You know that you are just like me
And that, behind our masks, we hide.
But, perhaps, one day, we'll take off this frozen façade…
