Helllloooooo world! I am currently immersed in IceQueen987's Frozen Reflection, as well as Jayjaylemony's You Name It, so if you're looking for another great FaixOC fic, please have a look at them!

This is my second TRC fic. I am no longer writing the first one :[ (sorry to all who were expecting more), only because the plot never appealed to me and I just had this BRILLIANT idea for a TRC story. You may read it below x)

Chapter One: Strangeness is a Virtue

A mage. A ninja. A young boy. What a strange group they made.

Of course, this group is to be made even stranger. After all, strangeness is a virtue.

Our soon-to-be important character, Fai (the mage), freezes, and the anxiety and—possibly, even—fear is made visible in his eyes. Even Kurogane, the black-clad ninja, grows tense, and or good reason, too. Someone is approaching.

"Yuko-san, are you expecting someone?" Fai asks, only barely managing to mask his concern through gritted teeth. He glances nervously down at the young boy, Syaoran.

I laugh, only because of the stupidity of the question. "I am always expecting someone. Who that someone may be, however, is not up to me to decide." I hesitate (mid-smirk). I'd been able to sense that a strong power was nearing, but it's clear to me only now that the source is closer that there is much more magic than I'd predicted there would be. Whoever is coming is abnormally powerful, and for a moment, I forget I am perhaps the most powerful sorceress in the universe. Only for a moment.

Suddenly, a purple swirl of wind appears in the center of the courtyard, and clears away to reveal a girl. Not a sweet, cute, happy girl. No, this girl is wearing a shirt with a rather terrifying skull on it, a black vest, studded black jeans, and admittedly intimidating-looking boots—what with all the metal rings decorating them. Bracelets obscure her entire forearm, and a tattoo is ringed around her neck. Her shoulder-length hair is layered in a way that makes it look almost spiked (but not really), and her bangs are swept to the side—with the occasional strand of hair falling in her face to give her a look of malice. No eyeliner needed to get the point across here.

Despite her frightening appearance, she is a very beautiful girl—porcelain skin, thin, pale lips, and stunning dark eyes that reveal nothing about her.

Fai senses her magnificent amount of power and keeps Kurogane and Syaoran back with his staff. "And who, may I ask, are you?" His smile reads, hello, nice to meet you, but the edge in his voice deceives him.

Almost instantaneously, all feelings of tension disappear. The magnificent power I'd felt just moments ago; it's gone. Today is shaping up to be very unpredictable, even by my standards.

The girl smiles serenely at each of us, and her lips part elegantly. "My name," She began, "is Bing Xin."

So how'd ya'll like it? --me trying out my southern accent. Yeah. Not working.

I am personally very pleased with it so far. So before you all start posting reviews like, oh, I don't know, "It's good, but don't make the OC a mary-sue" or "The characters are OOC!" Or something else like that...consider this: I will not care whatsoever if you say these things to me on my FIRST CHAPTER. x) Feedback is well appreciated, but pointless things that people automatically tell every OC author they meet will not phase me at all. Thank you!

Look forward to Chapter 2!

Love,
